My MTHFR Mission
All my life I have suffered from unexplainable health problems and practically have my own room at the nearby hospital. That is, until recently. In June 2018, I was tested and diagnosed as double homozygous for MTHFR genetic mutation, which is short for methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase. Everyone carries two copies of each gene, we get one from each parent. Being “double homozygous for MTHFR” means that both of my MTHFR genes have a mutation and I have lost up to 70% of my body’s ability to repair DNA, regulate hormones, instruct neurotransmitter production, detoxify, and support immune function.
My heart goes out to anyone struggling with unexplainable health problems and invisible illnesses. My mission is to create a supportive, educational, and empowering space to help those struggling with their health to be able to live their life to their fullest potential.
I’ll share my own experiences and guide you towards making improvements to your own quality of life through lifestyle, diet and a lot of laughter.
